sweeeeeettt. thanks a bunch! do you know much about flatscreens? whats good/bad?
go check out the TV at a retail store before you buy it online. picture quality varies greatly w/ flatscreens. I stress this point.

Reasons I'll never buy an LCD TV

1. the contrast sucks ass, blacks are grey
2. the picture quality starts to wear after about a year and gets worse.
3. pixelation

i'll stick with CRT until the above ^^ gets fixed or plasmas come down in price.

ELITE FTW! I paid $1,213.40 end of May shipped to my door. It's seriously one of the best plasma i've seen in terms of color, contrast, black richness and sharpness. The design on it is simply sexy too. Piano black gloss finish.

This was when I just got it. It's actually not that bad. IMO 42" is the max i'd do in a bedroom unless i had some huge phatty bedroom, then maybe i'd do 50". I'd like to be at least ideally 8 feet away from a 50". 42" I can tolerate about 6 feet before it's too close and I start to get nauseous.

I'm picking up this wall mount for it. Want to be able to move it around instead of having it sit flush against the wall.

The Pro-950hd is the kuro one. That's this year's model. The one I bought was last year's model. The pro-940hd. Got it before this year's model was avail. This year's model just came out a few weeks ago (early aug). The new true 1080p monitors that msrp for $8k i think is out already. 50% richer blacks I believe and true 1080p instead of 1080p capable scaled down. I believe this one doesn't have speakers so you need to buy speakers separately. the 940hd came with speakers below the tv. I think the 950hd might come with speakers too

This is the monitor that is true 1080p. Retails $8k

This year's top of the line elite TV. Retails $7k. This one accepts 1080p signal but I think it's still scaled down.
