how much did it cost? can you use a porter cable (orbital buffer) or do you need a rotary?

$22 at AutoZone. hmm im not too sure about the porter cable, but in the intructions it says to use a drill with 1200-1600 rpm.

Looks great man...good job!

I'm going to do what you did (eventually), but my pitted/worn headlights perfectly match my pitted/worn front bumper and lip.

Good work. You couldn't get those results easily with a PC.

Just be sure to put on a good coat of wax, when you sand down headlights like that, there is a clear on them just like paint. And when you sand down that aggressively, it reduces how long the finish will stay clear, and will oxidize sooner the second time around. I usually stick to polishing for this reason--but every so often you have to wet sand.

But again, be sure to put on a coat of wax to extend the life of the hard work put in! Looks great!

did you get that drill from harbor freight? and were the instructions pretty clear and specific?
