That is really cool how they chose to use a CR platform to do the transplant - damn I'm jealous!

It's the best of both worlds IMO - if only Honda would sell something like this one day....

I wonder with how similiar it would drive to a 370Z, or would it retain the s2000's feel.

odds are it won't go into production. The idea is not green enough and it puts out too much power. It doesn't fit into Honda's conservative philosophy. Just like the Acura line....Acura .....the Buick of Japan!

I expect it would drive the same as any other S2000, except for less turn-in response if the 3.7 weighs more (not sure what the weights are).

Honda V6s are a gazillion times more refined than the VQ engines, which are one small step up from a semi-truck diesel when it comes to NVH. So I doubt you'd get that traditional Z "my hands and feet are turning into jello from the vibrations and someone has unleashed a giant vacuum cleaner behind the car" experience you get as you approach redline in a Z. In that sense I think this S would be a lot more rewarding to drive hard.

I don't know how the power/torque curves compare (the VQs have great power delivery), but this "S3700" probably weighs some 300-400 pounds less than a 370Z, so I'd expect superior performance.

Not to rag too hard on the 370Z, which is a cool car, but as long as we're comparing engines, it's hard to defend the appalling NVH of the VQ series.
