UFO isn't usually sticklers on the classes like other clubs are. On top of that I take it he was running street tires so his times wouldn't have been competative with others running race tires.

You should tell him to come out to the AAS event in March 3rd and 4th and run the car on courses designed by people that drive cars like that. I'd be willing to bet he'd have more fun as well...
