I'll be at Marina.

As for the SCCA membership, that and because it not matching with my work schedule is why I don't go. I only had about 3 scca events that matched my schedule. Unless you're going to all of them it just isn't worth it IMO. I worked at tracks all through college in exchange for free track time, I wouldn't say that is a reason to want the membership if you were only going to a couple events...I'll just pay to be a spectator thanks.

Ummm, if you know Mac then you'll know that he frequents the track when he can & if im not mistaken a good amount of people posting on this thread participate in our local track events when they can as well. As for fear factor; definitely not on his part is the least I can say but I can see that applicable for others with less/no experience - its only natural.

The notion here I believe is that the extra fee for membership may be a deal breaker but if Chutney is saying that the $15 is a one time membership annually then that seems reasonable (where all subsequent events would be $35). But if it is a $15 per weekend membership; then thats a little more on the excessive side I would personally think.

I'm going to try to observe the Auto-X tomorrow at G.A. between like 9AM-10AM.
Got some errands to run. I'll post pics if I get around to taking anything spectacular!

Doesnt start till 10am, between 9-10 all you'll see are people walking the course...

OOPS!!!

I got there at 9AM, thinking it started at 8AM. I had to leave at 10AM, and it F'ing started at 10AM.
This is the second time I've missed observing the G.A. auto-x.

I got some good exercise walking the course.

I did snap these pics tho:

You're missing something here, 50 bucks for like 3-4 minutes of run time at most.

I'd much rather put that money towards a track day where I'd at least get an hour of run time
