that is why i never park my car near a club, bar, or any place where rowdy young punks congregate. i usually just park my car at a nearby indoors parking garage, and cab to the club. the way i see it, it's cheaper to spend $7-$10 for a relatively secure parking spot than to risk the time, money, and agony of having to deal with a vandalized car.

btw, the parking structure adjacent to the metreon is a good place to park your car. not only do they open late (in fact they might be 24 hours), but many of their parking spaces are diagonal and pretty wide for those who are paranoid of door dings. also, it is pretty much smack in the middle of most of the happening places in the city so cab rides to and from are not too bad.
