111 mph speeding ticket / got advice?

Talked to a lawyer, as they are not guaranteeing anything, he said that he has been doing for 22 years and will handle my case and try to get it down to 1 point and maybe another charge. He said he will try to pick a date where usually cops don't show up, not guaranteed but he said he can try and pick a judge that will negotiate with him. Asked 1500 for the service, he will show up instead of me unless I want to show up with him as well

I'd pay the $1500. That's less than a year's insurance cost for a car. Just think of it as insuring, an invisible car, parked in the garage, for one year. On the other hand, cut down on eight hot dates and you're good to go!

Question:
This ciatation says infraction on the ticket. (circled) could this be turned in to a felony or misdemeanor by the judge? Do they usually do this? If this ciatation stays as infraction in my record, i dont think i need the lawyer do i? It will only be a 2 points on my driving record and i should stop speeding and we should be good to go? What are your opinions after reading what i said

Given that content you just posted - I would start researching more; try reaching out to people familiar or that work in the law field. $1500 is nothing compared to a felony charge & since you have the option not to show up; I wouldnt on my part - let the Lawyer do what he's paid for plus it leaves less opportunity for the opposing side if youre not there I would think. Expensive error on your part - Im sure you will use this as reference in the future when youre on throttle.

Hire a lawyer (lawyer up). If your license is suspended it will haunt you every time you get insurance or renew for a long long long long long time. Best part is, the suspension will follow you all over the US. The insurance and DMV databases are shared in all 50 states ( one or two states might not) If you do the math you will see (if your luckY) that 1500 is less than the increase in insurance you'll see.
That is why in my old age I save it for the track, or airport runways.
Good luck!

According to this document based on last years infraction fee schedule (http://www.courts.ca.gov/documents/july2011_jcbail.pdf), your fine is going to be at least $800. That plus a possible 30 day suspension of your license.
When it comes to insurance, a two point violation is treated differently then two, one point violations. My insurance would drop me if I had a two point violation.
