i got caught at 165 on my motorcycle on 101 san jose side. chp guy threw my keys in the grass and told me to find another way home. biggest break i ever got. your case if its 100 over get a lawyer.
Why did you stop? If I'm doing 165mph and I get caught there's no way I'm not gonna getaway.
Also, he throws my keys on the ground I throw him a punch on his teeth. Sorry

Thats the fastest way to end up with a felony assulting an officer you moron. dumbest thing I have ever read on the internet...

1. Don't insult.
2. I don't care. The cop represents the law. Not me. He's not entitled to act as if it was personal and throw my keys on the ground / on the grass / in the toilet. If he makes it become personal and I'm already about to go to jail he's gonna loose his teeth. That's how I see it

I was waiting for this thread to get good.

(On a side note: Punching a cop for taking your keys after getting busted doing nearly triple the speed limit. Real talk? )

What I'm saying is that "Taking the keys" and impound the car is one thing, cause if that's what the law says he's applying it and just doing his job.
"...threw my keys in the grass and told me to find another way home" is different. Not professional. Not what he's entitled to do. Thinking his badge makes him Superman

Sounds like he let the guy off. Not only did the cop not arrest him on the spot, but he didn't even mention getting a ticket. If I was that guy I would be bowing down in gratitude to the cop. It was a dramatic way to make his point, but overall it was a huge act of kindness.

STEP 1: Check if ALL the details on the ticket are CORRECT. If any discrepancy, the charges are dropped.

You're so right dude, that cop totally thinks he's superman. Because getting your keys thrown on the ground is so much more offensive than jail; right? You do understand getting caught doing 165 gives the officer every single right in the world to not only impound that bike, but your ass as well, right?

But hey, it's good to know that if a cop respects your humanity, but not your keys, you're willing to not respect his humanity, throw down at him, and land your ass in jail for assault on an officer.

To each their own; I on the other hand would be over joyed that the worst that happened to me was my keys getting thrown in the grass after getting busted doing 165.

That's the problem in the US. Too much power to the badge.
To each their own.
