just saw something on the news about a 5 car accident this morning on 880. saw a silverstone AP2 that has the front end totalled. hope whoever was involved is ok.

Two other motorists were killed hours later on Interstate 880 in Fremont. Police were searching for a possible hit-and-run driver as they tried to sort out the details from the chain of collisions early Saturday, Stewart said.

The CHP said the sequence began when Michael Han, 25, of Oakland, lost control of his Ford Escort about 3:30 a.m. and hit the center divide barrier. He suffered minor injuries and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Four additional vehicles then piled up, killing passengers in two of the vehicles and causing major injuries to three of the other drivers. The dead were a "30ish" man and a woman in her 20s or 30s, said an accident report by CHP Officer Tara Graham.

The crash closed the East Bay interstate's southbound lanes for about four hours.

Car looks in relative good shape. Passenger compartment appears to be fine. If the driver was wearing his/her seatbelt, they should be okay IMO.
