No lap times from the amazing touge-master andrew? After all that big talk in the R&C forum, I was expecting Coach Casey to be posting a 1:56 video.

I kid, I kid. />/>/>
maybe he didn't time, or they weren't good?

That will definitely be my target time the next time I am there and going for some quick laps. I really wish they wouldn't let that track cutting shit happen honestly, it is hard to quantify lap times with "the shortcut" (turn 12) and the run off area that becomes the normal racing line in 14/15. They put big cones in that run-off and people complain because it is slowing them down and they can't beat their PB. Oh really!?

Knocked five seconds off my best time. Still learning, always learning.

My brother was in the 2:30 range in the station wagon. He was drowning in understeer in turn 2, but I didn't see a single person in group 3 who could hang with him over the bypass or through turn 8.
Nice! Which station wagon?

I'm guessing the red Mitsubishi wagon? Were you guys eating at McDonald's right after the track day? Andrew Martin and I also are there I thought I saw you parked right in front. Sorry I didn't introduce myself!!!

When Marco pointed this driver by, I don't think this is what he had in mind...

Thats cause for every event that I've been to, they don't have cones there. The chrono series has no cones on the track except for the hot pits entering. You may think that it's hard to quantify but when that is your base run standard, that's all you have to compare to. Now my data can't be compared having to take a different route. My thinking is they put it there so people actually don't go too gung ho and run off the track ending up in mud and bringing it back on track, or worse flipping their cars. The track is there and we should use all of it. As you start going to more track days, at least with ncrc, you'll see there are no cones or barriers and that's what we are just used to. It also can open up a variety of lines for you to explore to figure out which ones faster. I honestly don't know if 12/13 slowed me down much, I feel like it was turn 8 and 14/15 barriers that killed it for me.

You could say the same for touge no? Stay only in your lane. For me I never touch the center divider but I do use the entire right side crossing over the white line on the right. I know we are all guilty of that much if not more

Yeah I definitely understand having that as the baseline already but it doesn't make it part of the track. Every modern F1 circuit has crazy run-off but at least two tires on the track or curbs is the rule of thumb usually, if 12/13 had proper curbs it would be a very different set of corners, or 12 would actually be a corner I guess.

On the touge I always make sure to drive 10 mph under the posted speed limits and I always make sure there is a 2 foot gap between my tires and any regulatory lines on the road.. I would never dream of doing something as unsafe as crossing the white line on the side of the road!!

yeah 12/13 is always up for debate since like you said, it isnt much of a corner. does two left wheels on the berm count ahahha
