100k maintenance

100k maintenance
I am getting close to that magic number for the mileage on my car. Just wondering if someone can tell me what needs to be done on a 100k miles tune up and how much it would cost?. I bought the car without a manual to reference it to. Thanks.

the big maintenance is actually at 90k...30k, 60k, 90k, 120k, etc. but if you search for any of those major services, you'll get a good list of what to do.
i'd call blacktrax in milpitas for a quote.

Some things that I did from what I can remember:
Valve Adjustment with VC Kit
Motor Oil
Tranny Oil
Diff Oil
Radiator Flush
Serpentine Belt
ShinEtsu Seals
Inspect bushings & suspension for wear items
Inspect areas which need lube
- Possibly look at your water pump.
- I was already on top of things like brakes, plugs, misc suspension
- The manual will have a breakdown of what you should look at.

If you aren't sure about the maintenance history of any of the parts/fluid, I would go ahead and replace them earlier, rather than later. Also, consider Joey in SSF if you are on that part of the peninsula, he did my 100k, and we went overboard and did basically every fluid on the whole car and valves and TCT. Car drives great ever since.

I would look at a manual but the car didn't come with one. Do you guys know how much it will cost for the maintenance? And also any shop recommendation around the bay area?

You should PM him. His sn is its2krazy.
I thinks the price is going to depend on what you want done. Standard 100k service or above and beyond. JP's list has some good suggestions of what to change and keep in mind. I remember having all of my fluids changed when my car hit 20k. I'm a bit OCD so i went all out and just changed everything. I did everything from coolant, trans, diff, oil, and all filters and he did it for a good price. I provided the parts and he did the labor. He also has parts too if you don't bring your own.
