100 Octane available in San Jose

the 76 station at Almaden Expressway and Foxworthy (just North of Capital Expressway) has 100 Octane gas on one of their pumps.. I checked the price last week and it was.. prepare yourself... $3.65/gallon. Might be fun for every once in a while if it actually gives any measurable boost.

Now this is interesting... KraziK, Song and I filled up on 100 octane when we ran the open track day at ThunderHill back in October, but we all were on empty by the end of the day so we never really got a chance to see what it does for you in every day driving. I think it would be worth a tank full to see if there is a significant improvement in performance. That way I'd know if its worth it to fill up with the stuff at future track events (a rather significant cost I might add). I understand that the ECU reacts agressively to low octane gas, I wonder if it reacts (as agressively or at all) to higher octane gas?
