[RANT] I hate SF DPT!
So I just got a $250 ticket in the mail for blocking a bus stop.
Story behind it: About two weeks ago, I pulled into a bus stop for a couple minutes (I'm waiting in the car still). A DPT "maintainence" truck pulls behind me and flashes his lights. I drive off thinking nothing of it. Fast forward to today - I get a letter and the ticket in the mail for $250.
I'm going to contest it, but my experience with DPT is that they always win, even if it's not your fault
I hate the freaking San Francisco Department of Parking and Traffic!!

Which bus stop was that? Those guys are out in full force cuz they need to compensate for the lack of income from the parking meters. I remember that 60-70% of the meter spots in downtown had cars with handicap signs. I have no respect for those ppl who can afford to drive 70k+ cars but cheap enough to not pay for parking.

has anyone else noticed there have been a LOT of cops roaming around the city lately? (past 3 or 4 days).. ive seen like one or two squad cars for every 10 minutes of driving..

All I know is that there are people out there running around with chainsaws & shiet and they have nothing better to do than tag you for something hella dumb

I listened to Gavin Newsome (I think it was a couple of weeks ago also!) doing an interview on Live 105 for my morning commute and he said that they were cracking down on the "double parkers" because the bus systems in San Francisco have an absolutely horrible on time rate. I am sure that would extend to people blocking bus stops.
