i have progressive. they know about the ticket and school, but as long as it's your only one they ignore it.

as for schools, pick the cheapest, shortest, closest... they all suck.

Most traffic courts allow you to take the class online - class is suppose to take 8 hours, and it took me 45 minutes....

Your traffic court (from the area you received your ticket) will give you traffic school info, and they will show you the websites you can go to and take the class.

Good luck.

The court will tell you which schools you can take. They will send you a packet after you choose the traffic school option. You cannot assume that a court will allow you to take a web based class because only a few counties in CA allow web based classes.

Kumori10,

Where on I-5 were you? Wich county? I know that Stanislaus County and San Joaquin County do allow web based courses.

if they will let you do it on the web, DO IT. I did, it was the easiest thing ever. I hear they are trying to ban it though.

I would fight it and see what happens. You can always go to Traffic School if the verdict is not in your favor. Check this out. www.ticketassassin.com. I have used them twice and both times with favorable results.

Tried www.ticketassassins.com to contest a speeding ticket in San Jose and not only did I still get a guilty verdict (oh well), they wouldn't let me take traffic school. *sigh* The fine was only $87, so oh well, but you're not guaranteed to be able to take traffic school if you lose the dispute via ticketassassins.com
