I used the Dashware software.. and took the .csv file from harry's lap timer. Loaded the vid I wanted on dashware then the .csv file (lap) for the video.

I'm exclusively shooting with the camera mounted on the outside of the windshield. I normally mount it on the top/center of the windshield. The only disadvantage of the top/center location is that, in the event that the driver hits the windshield wipers on accident, the wipers will jam up on the suction mount.
Yeah, the contrast isn't great, but it's a great learning tool.
