It's insane how the S2000's chassis seems to move so much more naturally around the track. Wrong wheel drive in my RSX looks so awkward in comparison. Andrie, what tires were you on for that video?
I was with Hankook RS3 on that video, Mike.

Correction. I was on Dunlop Direzza Star Spec. Someone pointed that to me, that I was running the gold wheels on that video. We ran a program with Star Spec in the morning and switch to RS3 after lunch. Sorry about the confusion. I'll correct the original post.

Yeah that is just silly fast. Stopped and said hello to you guys at the trailer the night before at Motel 6, and then again the next day at the track. Stock motor, tranny, and diff. WOW .

Super consistent driver, same actions lap after lap.
You must be Joey!

Good to see that a lot of the S2000 drivers are downshifting into second gear at turn 11. I started off doing the same but then decided against it after my spin. Guess my first instinct was correct. Too bad I didn't have an on-board camera during that session. It would have been nice to analyze the video so I could figure out what I did wrong.
I was rolliing through there in third for a while, and kept getting yanked on the way out and started shifting into second. It alters your line a bit and changes how you come onto the gas.
I did manage to try a few downshifts into second prior to making the turn. That seemed to help (as opposed to shifting IN the turn) but the amount of power that becomes available at that point was scary. That and my two spins are ultimately why I settled into 3rd gear towards the end of the day.

Yes sir! That would be me!

I was making my shifts before turn in, but the speed you carry into that section is much higher than mine and makes it reasonable for you to carry 3rd through there.

Here's a video from the 3rd session in the 1st group. Some fun driving here. LOL-worthy moment at 11:35 when I look in the mirror, realize that the civic that was just sent out on-track ISN'T behind me, but turning in right next to me. Rather than do anything goofy, I decided that the safest option was to go straight off and as such, I collected my first black flag in years.

Below is the full 6th session of the day, where I believe maxrev had a lot of fun (relatively speaking) with the Prelude. I'm pretty sure right at the end was where I ran my fastest for the day, although the 2:05-2:06 range is peanuts compared to what the rest of you guys were running on Sunday!

2:05 is plenty fast! Especially considering the fact that you haven't driven the car in over 2 years!!!
