I think its ok as long as you aren't running an intake with an open filter.

Looks very clean with the rubber seals on a black car. Not sure how it will look on other colors though.

GEARHEAD's thread actually discusses the issue of rain. Doesn't seem to be a problem for those with the vented hoods.

i'm going to try this sometime this month. Only going to cut two vents on each side instead of three (Like the pic on the first thread of the GPW). We'll see what happens...


btw, berlinabayrider where did you get those black grills?

That's a good question. I took a good look at the hood of the S today. I think if you cut all 3 holes on the passenger side, the biggest hole reveals the battery, which might bring up a problem when it rains or during a car wash.


Anyone have an insight to that?
