My name is Kayvan, I had some problems on the boards before but everything is cleared up now and im hoping to contribute to the community more. You probably have seen my car @ meets I just dont talk too much.
You should talk with people at the meets more often, if you are sincere about wanting to contribute more to the community. It would help people see you in a more positive light. Just something to think about.

Kayvan, not many people know me around here.. I'm more of a lurker and work too much to make it out to the meets.

But, if you have the tools.. or if we can find people with the tools.. and the space to do it. I'd be glad to help you set this up.

Anyways, let me know.. also if you have the tools and space to do so, speak up!

You lost a lot of credit with people because of the center console incident, so needless to say its going to take time before some of the people around here decide to trust you again. Hopefully you've learned something and perhaps grown up a bit. Best of luck.

Alright ladies and gents, I finally got some time to post pictures of my vented hood. I have to give all the credit to GEARHEAD. If he never created a thread for the DIY vent hood, I would have never done it. Here is his thread...

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...&hl=vented&st=0

I took a lot of GEARHEAD's methods and ideas, but I did some things different such as lining the cuts in the hood with a rubber lining and I used aluminum caulking instead of a double sided tape. I vented the hood for track use, so I did not care if it turned out looking bad, but I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out. Definately, if I were to do this again, I could do a much better job. Anyways here are the pics...

Let me know if anyone has any questions or needed help.

David

Do you mean 'caulking'? I didn't know it came in aluminum...

Very nice and clean looking.

I'm getting more and more motivated to "frankenstein" my hood.
