well, Vu, im not really sure it is the steering rack that is actually causing me all of these problems... i was meaning to get it checked out by a mechanic, but i never got around to doing so... if some of you can recall, I hit a curb after leaving a millbrae starbucks meet that was going on a year ago or so... ever since then, my power steering was acting funny, going on and off randomly (even while driving) and eventually, it just completely stopped functioning. Later on, I changed out the electrical power steering unit (the little box) and that solved my power steering issue for about a month and a half or so, until the power steering started to act funny again. Yet again, the power steering starts to go on and off on me.. and now, sometimes, when it IS on, it will act really weird. There will be power steering while turning towards the right, and a lot of resistance when trying to turn the wheel towards the left.. i thought maybe the rack was damaged, so i was just trying to see if there happened to be anyone out there with a spare rack for sale.
