SOLD! Comptech S/C kit w/Aftercooler - $1600
SOLD!
Comptech Supercharger kit with Aftercooler, GReddy catch can and Walboro fuel pump - $1900 picked up or $1975 shipped. Price dropped! Now $1600 picked up or $1675 shipped.
**People have been asking about buying the aftercooler separately. I don't want to part it, so if you're after just the aftercooler I would suggest buying the kit and selling the S/C. Depending on how much you think the A/C is worth, you shouldn't have much trouble selling the S/C kit, considering it costs $4000+ new.**
The catch: The S/C needs a "major" rebuild; what that is exactly I don't know, but Paxton said it was more than just the bearings and seals (the blower actually has brand new bearings and seals in it from 500 miles ago). They quoted $916 for rebuild. I don't have the money to put into it now, so my loss is your gain. The procedure is straightforward; call them, they send you an RMA number, ship it to them, they rebuild it in a couple weeks and ship it back to you. Their phone number is on their website: http://www.paxtonauto.com/
This package will give you the comptech kit with aftercooler and a fully rebuilt S/C straight from Paxton, a GReddy catch can, and the Walboro fuel pump most people don't include with a used kit (~$100) for about $2800 (now $2500). When you see those other kits for sale for $3500 with "30,000 miles, in perfect condition", just remember, stuff wears out. Those kits are 30,000 miles closer to a rebuild than this one will be.
Also includes original instructions provided by Comptech. They're not very detailed, so I would recommend having someone around with experience or an installed kit you can look at for reference.
The only thing missing from the kit is the CF cover for the airbox. I never really missed it; I figured the extra airflow to the engine probably cancelled any minor increase in intake temps.
The pics below do not show the fuel pump or a wide assortment of nuts and bolts and miscellaneous pieces that are also include with the kit. Everything will be padded and packed properly for shipment.
Also FS: Black AP1 door panels from a 2001 in excellent condition. $50
WTB:
Driver's side front fender liner. Not looking to pay a lot...if anyone has one lying around taking up space, PM me.
