Cool. Did they require a minimal order amount to get it rolling?

Yes they did. It kinda sucks for me but good that someone finally stepped up to the plate to get this thing rolling. The bad news is... I think that the lines got crossed. I think that they may have accidentally lined them with the XR1 compound instead of XR2 and possibly mad the pad at the max thickness which leaves no extra room and they might drag until they are properly bedded I'm waiting to hear back for sure. I got an update today that they were in production (being lined with compound material) and the tooling for the backing plates was complete. Just as a note: XR1 is not even available for most fitments, its a custom compound for racing teams, it generally need to be special ordered and its extremely expensive! I think its gonna be too much for our cars but I might be stuck with it or at least I'll get a set to test which might be a good thing I guess. My plans were to start testing with the XR2 compound which is more readily available and probably the best match for the s2ks weight. Who knows though, I might love it
At any rate once my testing is complete and verified (compound to find the right bias for the rear pads and fitment) these pads will be available to any consumer. No wait and no min order. I will also try to get my fav local shop to become a vender and offer them for sale in your choice of compounds. I don't think that Cobalt is open to order from individuals like CT.
