bump a motivated CR builder!

 

I have had the CR Wing installed on my 01 SS about 10 months ago mounted on my stock trunk. The body shop added big washers (see pic ) as a replacement for the trunk inserts that the CR has for rigidity and for making sure the trunk doesn't flex under high speeds. I also had them install the trunk stiffeners from the CR as you can see in the picture.

I haven't had any issues with the trunk flexing or deforming and I have done short 100+ mph runs several times.

Hope I am not stating the obvious, just sharing with people, what worked for me

Yea I know its an old thread, but that pic will be very helpful. Just got my CR wing on and I'll need to reinforce my trunk a teeny bit more.

 

With all your 100mph speed runs, that's a fact!

 

there's a thread somewhere on this forum by psychzan or something that shows every cr trunk re-enforcement point.
