Hey guys, i wanted to update the thread with some new mods that i did in the previous months


First of all, one of the major things i did which will help me on track is the addition of brake ducts, although the AP racing bbk is so good i dont think i need it

I ordered a 3 meter 2.5" brake hose and by the time i was finished installing it on both sides i was left with only 1 foot so was glad i ordered the 3 meter hose

we cut through the fender lining and added a rubber grommet to support the hose and also so it doesnt tear from all the constant movement


Before we tackle the driver side, we found out the air pump was blocking the path of the air duct, after a few calls to a few s2000 guru they confirmed its only for cold climate to help with the cats heating up faster, and if you remove it the only thing you would get it is a Check Engine Light so we went ahead and removed it ( i will get a delete kit sometime down the road so i remove the rest of the pipings, etcc... )



Here is an overview picture of the car and the brake duct setup on the driver side after removing the air pump, we have a lot of space for the hose




I removed my heat shield on the brakes so i couldn't weld a metal bracket onto the shield and attach the hose like many did on this forum , so we improvised for now and i will be back to the garage another time to fabricate a custom braket to hold the brake hose




My only issue with the brake ducting is it rubs on full lock cause i have 9.5 inch wheels upfront with 255 advan ad08R tires. so the way to avoid rubbing is not to go full lock, am good with that if it gives me prolonged brake life

I got back from my trip to find the Fedex Santa has delivered my shipment from Urge


I ordered the Gern pipe as well as the dual T1R catback ! i cant wait to hear it live .. I just need to do a dyno before i install it and then a dyno after I tune so i see how much power it makes

The worksman ship on the metal is really something to behold. i really liked the different finishing on both of gern pipe and the catback, although keep reading for a little surprise

I ordered these circuit garage replica fenders from a company called Aerofiber, they have an instagram account with that name

J is amazing to deal with and quality of the fenders are good but the fitment needs a little work, i still havent got around to fitting them yet but by just mounting them on the car they dont sit right compeletly so i will have to go to my garage and see about fitting these over fenders but i have alot of trust in J and his work on these over fenders.












I really like how they look like and i think they quite match the wideness of the Downforce wider front fenders. I always felt the front of the s2k is so wide compared to the rear and it had to be balanced somehow.

I wanted the stealthy look for my exhaust system ( urge headers, gern pipe and t1r dual ) so when i ordered the headers i requested patrick for Black ceramic coating ( pix above)

Now the next step is to match the gern pipe as well as the catback

i started by prepping the surface with 600 grit sandpaper and alcohol to clean the residue and then masking off the flanges, didnt want paint on surfaces that will mate together and then using Rust-oleum 2000F High Heat Primer and black Paint






First step is to use the primer, i did about 5 coats on each untill the can finished






Then you wait an hour according to the instructions after your last primer coat. After that you can paint the black coating






finished Look ( i am very happy with the way it came out !! )






This picture was took after it was left outside to dry for about 12 hours and masking tape taken off




I ran out of primer and paint so will keep the catback painting for another day


Overall am very impressed with the quality of the gern pipe and catback without even installing it on the car and quite happy how the paint turned out


Last thing would be is to see how it looks and sounds with everything mounted on the car

finally found the high heat paint, as they are hard to come by in here, and started working on the rear mufflers

masked off the tips and flanges , sanded it with 600 grit and cleaned it with alcohol and got started on painting

Wind picked up as i was painting and dust started to gather on the mufflers, i got pissed off as i was really taking care painting it, so i said screw it and continued painting, in the end its just gonna be under the car and am only painting it to make it look stealthy as i dont want to be hassled by the police over here as they can be annoying when it comes to exhaust systems

i used a can and a half of Rustoleum High Heat primer to get a good coverage on the mufflers



Also i used 2 cans of High Heat Black paint to get good amount of coats on the mufflers




Here are some of the end results !

Am very happy with the overall outcome although it could have been better if i had a closed area where i can use to paint

On Saturday hopefully i will be going to Dyno my car to get a Before readings and will mount the exhaust afterwards, and hopefully by mid Dec i will be getting a tune done on my car by Derf Tune ? as well as dyno at the same shop. Will Post the graphs once thats done to see how much power the car will make with this exhaust setup

one of the reasons i did it is for stealth, second is because we live near the sea and its very humid here , so if i kept it stainless it will always show signs of surface rust, so i thought its better to coat it to protect the metal
