So what ever became of this project? Putting batteries in the back made me think of the time I forgot about a couple of sacks of cement in the trunk and tried a four wheel drift around a nice curve. The car swapped ends in a heartbeat!
I'm wondering what an S2000 with ONE motor similar to these(350HP!) in the tranny position, with a battery pack under the hood and another in the gas tank location, set up to replicate the stock weight distribution, would be like. An exciting car with practical range?
Given advances in motor , controller, and battery technology, I might be tempted to try this myself in a few years!

Great googly moogly. I wish my trade could be applied to amazingly cool stuff like this.
I imagine Thinmint might be sidetracked building a mini Hadron collider in the backyard.

Hey guys its been a while
Sorry for disappearing for the last couple of years, my absence was the result of life occurring - graduating high school and moving away to college meant I had no easy access to the car back home and no possibility of transporting the car up to my school to work on it there.
I had dreams of continuing work on the car, and planned on coming back to the forum to provide updates once things got rolling again but it seems like the older I get the less likely any advancement will be made on the project.
The car is currently sitting in my parents garage, and within the next couple of months I will decide the future of the project as they want their garage space back .
I noticed a couple of the photos from the beginning of the album went missing. In the name of longevity I've decided to just post a link to an album containing every single photo from the build. I dont have time to annotate each picture but at least you'll be able to see the visual progress. I believe theres a pretty decent amount of photos in the album that never made it on this forum either for whatever reason
Part 1 of photos: https://www.facebook...61580553&type=3
Part 2 of photos: https://www.facebook...61580553&type=3
Bonus album of a bike I built since you guys love build photos so much: https://www.facebook...61580553&type=3
Lastly, shout out & thanks to everyone on this forum and this thread that commented and encouraged me during the build process! Your combined enthusiasm and excitement for my work was unquestionably the reason I continued working on the car during some of the more stagnant periods. The entire project was certainly fun and educational, and I'm sure I would not be the same person I am today without the car and this forum.
PEACE!
