awesome thread, care to update/share how the car feels with your atypical stiffer rear sway bar?

It's been a really busy season. I haven't done the best job at updating this thread so I will take the time to do a post. The car has just been outright incredible, I am shocked as how dam reliable these things. The seasons been going pretty well. There was alot going on in my personal like with work and personal travel, moving again, and home renovations but I still squeezed in 14 race days. Out of those 14 days, I placed P1 10 times and podium every other time. I reset the VIR track record again with a 2:07.7, broke the PittRace track record my first time, set a new personal best at Thunderbolt (1:30.3), and broke the Mid Ohio track record my first time there as well with a 1:37.1. I've been putting an enormous amount of preparation getting ready for the NASA National Championships. The car is in tip top shape right now and every nut and bolt has been checked. I'm pretty excited about the event as I've never participated in a Championship race.

I haven't really made any changes to the car other then normal maintenance. Next year is going to be a much quieter year for me as I'm getting married and moving again. I did pick up a pretty awesome 24k mile 2008 Laguna Blue S2000 with a SOS Turbo and Endyn F22 from a buddy. I was just street driving this car and for some crazy reason the thought came in my head that I should build it into an ST4/ST5 car for next season so that is exactly what I am going to do. I will be selling my red car after the Championships. I love building and tinkering and this car has been an incredible project for me. I'm looking to build the 08 into a full race car from the beginning and make it light and powerful as possible right off the bat. I want to see it up so it can compete in ST4 and also ballast up and detune down for ST5.

Unfortunately, two of my friends crashed their S2000s during the season. Good news is they both bought new shells and are in 2 new built freshly caged S2000s! If you notice in the pics, my car has an exact twin now.

Also, I added a home made cool suit setup to the car and all I can say is I don't know how I drove without one for this long. It's downright amazing!

On to the pictures!

Well, all good things must come to an end. This car has been an absolute joy to build and drive. I've learned so much as a builder and a driver. I'm happy to report back that I won the TT5 national championship. The car has also been sold and is going to its new owner as of this weekend. I've never been so upset to see a car leave. The car is as good as it will be at this point and there really is nothing left to do to it. It's gotten every track record except Thunderbolt. This includes VIR, Lightning, Watkins Glen, Summit Point, PittRace, and Mid-Ohio. It's now won a national championship. I've got all the best parts on it and it's in it's prime. I'm a tinkerer and it is now time for me to move onto to something else. I've already started on my new build (more to come) and am excited for next season. My new car will be built for ST4/ST5 and TT4/TT5. While this car lived a comfortable life in TT, the new one will be subjected to the abuses of wheel to wheel races and I'm looking forward to all the learning that will bring.

Thank you to everyone who posted and subscribed to this thread! Looking forward to the next one.

What set of shocks it it last end up with - AST 5200s or something else? Details on spring rates, was it custom valved?

Looking forward to the next build - hopefully you post up here. This has by far been my #1 build thread to follow on s2ki.
