Project Laguna
Car: 2006 s2000 with 31k and in Laguna Blue
This will be my area to post updates on the car as it transforms over the next several years.
Currently Coming:
Clear JDM turn signals
Bumper plugs
OEM replica spoiler
Star specs 225front and 255rear
Just completed:
Wanted to paint the calipers, but not the typical red color. Black or blue is what I was hoping. The plan is to also get decals that say s2000 on them.
Eventually this is what I hope:
- lower the car
- black wheels
- new intake
- OEM front lip
- OEM hardtop (black)
- stereo upgrade
This was the first time I have ever painted calipers and I'm just hoping that it lasts for some time. Overall I'm gonna take it slow with my S2K so it'll be interesting to see it change over time.

Love the laguna blues. Looks mint.
Not sure if you want to get an eBay OEM spoiler which come painted. A mate has one on his SSM and you can see the ripples on the top surface..

It's in great condition. With the spoiler, I followed a long thread on here saying it looks pretty good if you go with OEM.thing. For $89 painted and shipped, I figured what the hell, go for it and see what happens.

In the shade, the brakes look pretty dark, but in the sun it matches really close to LB. I'm happy with the results for $20. Have black s2000 decals coming soon. Thought bout white, but I thought I would go a little less flashy with the black.
Items used:
- VHT caliper paint: bright blue
- VHT caliper cleaner
- 180 grit sandpaper (next time I'd probably do 80 grit
- masking tape
- newspaper
- jack and stand
Thinking about either powder coating current wheels black or just buying a new set of wheels that come in black.
Thanks for reading.

Yeah, more stands have been on my to do list. Pretty stupid to put off spending a couple of bucks on stands when I could potentially have more problems to worry about the current way of doing things. Thanks for the advice Chugs.
