I continue to follow this thread, because I am continuously impressed. Kudos to you for really developing the driver mod before spending money on other 'unnecessary' mods. I know the mods will eventually come, but I think it's great that you are squeezing the max out of the stock car first. Well done.

Thank you. You wouldn't believe how much flack I get in the R&C forum for wanting to know how fast the stock car actually is. I think there are a bunch of people afraid to learn that they have been wasting money.

That's not why you're getting flack! This was a pretty nice vid, though. Definitely getting better!

Yeah I know. Thanks. I managed to find quite a few places I was losing time from my first time there and make some nice improvements. Hopefully there is still a lot more speed to be found though.

I agree with the posts above.. love this thread . I wish I went the same route. Even though I haven't modded much (just coils, short shifter and exhaust) I wish I didn't get the mod bug so early so I could enjoy and learn the stock car more.

Were you able to get a new windshield? It sucks that it cracked like that, do you think it may be the quality of the windshield?

Yeah I just ended up having to pay for another one. The quality of the windshield was not the issue, just the crazy heat I think. I am guessing I may have placed the suction cup on a part of the windshield started to pit, so more unlucky than anything. I go through windshields pretty fast anyway so no biggie.

Some new stuff:

Spoon Rigid Collars and new Reservoir Covers. Pretty excited to see if the feel of the car is improved with the rigid collars. Plan on having them installed asap along with a fresh alignment so I can compare them directly to how the car was setup before. If anything should work well to keep the subframe properly aligned through all the rough bits in the mountains and if I have an off at the track.

Oh also some new wheel caps. I seem to put a lot of heat into the front wheels and the caps lose their nice solid mount to the wheel and I end up losing one out on the mountains.
