Yeah will be interesting to see how the exhaust changes color. The tip is technically already burned in though. I have seen Amuse exhausts on other cars that have quite a bit of use and the tip stays pretty much the same but who knows. On exhausts with just a burned in blue tip the rest of the tip doesn't necessary change color.

I am definitely curious to how they do the gold ring. The inside of the tip is basically all a subtle gold color and the edge of the tip is totally different than normal.

The gold ring is really subtle now, if anything i would guess that it will just become more gold with use.

Also, track days? Please... don't underestimate me, hahaha.

Not sure what "burned in" means, but yeah full Ti exhausts tend to change color, especially with the use of a test pipe. The double-wall design of this amuse may help fight that though, depends on your EGTs.

The tip essentially has already been put through temperatures higher than what it will likely see during use to turn the color it is already. No doubt it will change color a bit. The inside of the tip actually tapers down from 90mm to 60mm before it goes into the muffler section, double-wall design as you mentioned, I think this is unique to the gold ring option. The "ring" around the end of the tip is actually the area that the interior of the tip is welded to the exterior it looks like. Likely with a different grade of Titanium.

Amuse actually mentions it is specifically done it a way to prevent the "ring" from doing the normal dramatic color shift like the rest of the exhaust.

Yeah I am thinking I will be close to 200lbs saved once I get the hood, intake, hardtop and gutted soft top. From that point there are still a few more small weight reductions that can be made.

This makes me miss my Amuse exhaust... So pretty and sounded awesome. Hopefully you don't experience the same death rattle anytime soon though..! That said, your mid-muffler is a different design to my old one and ones that commonly get this problem.

Making me very jealous!

Yeah I am hoping the same. We'll see how it goes.
