To throw wrench in your thinking.........FRP Mugen?
I was pretty close to picking up an FRP Mugen since ICB has one available. But I decided i just prefer the OEM design to the Mugen.
I think the OEM top is the way to go. The visibility, fit and finish, and hardware are second to none.

Well I'll be the one to say it.

This thing is great for daily. Doesn't do much at a track unless you dip into the midrange often. It doesn't produce the type of top end power one (or maybe myself) was expecting, which was pretty lame.

Still a great mod for canyon roads, daily driving, and overall.

Are you talking about the header?

Personally I am not convinced that any header alone produces a significant amount of top end power on it's own. Very few headers have been tested against a stock car with a tune. And producing top end power without sacrificing midrange compared to the stock header seems very difficult. More midrange with no real top end sacrifice is ok with me.

You get into the midrange all of the time doing a hill climb, so sounds like a good plan.

on my toda header: untuned, on a back to back dyno, I lost ~2 peak HP, and gained ~4 mid range HP.

I was talking about the flashpro. I also have a toda header. With a tune I highly recommend. Thing is great.

Not sure. That thing is way overhyped in my opinion.

I was pretty surprised to get any top end gains with just a FlashPro and tune and nothing else. I gained nearly 12hp top end.
