Milano Red Mugen SS2200 build
This car was meant to be a build for my wife. She and I got into our first S2K back in 2000 while we were still dating. That car was not meant to be modified....and ended up going over the top for her. Our second and third S2Ks were bought with one to part with (I needed some major parts for the 3rd S2K for a stripped down street legal track car). Neither of those two would be driven by my [now] wife. Well about 5 years into ownership another S2K owning friend of ours suffered a really bad neck/back injury that left him paralyzed waist down. He kept his S2K for years after, even had it converted to hand driven. It was converted back to stock, and sat. He hated the car sitting around and had us use it through the summers. On one of the trips back from dropping his car up at his storage facility, wife mentioned how much she missed driving our Berlina Black S2000 prior to me doing everything I did to it (mainly the Mugen seats).
In anycase, since then, I've been wanting to get her back into a fun car. I figured an S2000 would be the most fitting.
In 2009, I flew down to Houston to go check out the car I thought would be a nice little project for me to fix up for her from now until right before X-mas.
Here she is:
Not much to her: Original owner, MY2000, 92k on the clock, Koni/Groundcontrol suspension and all-season performance tires on pc'd black AP1 OEM wheels.
Top down:
Rear shot:
So now that's out of the way, the following will be the start of the build up.

Build up, pre-paint shop:
Seeing that this car will be used as a daily, even through winters, it needed something more than just the soft-top :
I had a lot of parts sitting around the house, so I figured I may as well use them on this car.
Thrown on the car was the second set of CWest fenders I had...they are painted the color of my S2000, so just use your imagination of what the car will look like all one color.
You'll also see the Motorklasse Amuse replica bumper and my yellow-diffusered AP1 headlights on the car. If you look closely, the lines and the fit are all off, but that's because items weren't fully mounted at the time of the picture.
Next is the profile picture...yup, BBS LMs being put back into use:
Unfortunately, they'll probably be coming right off. I have two potential buyers that have been asking for them very seriously. I have an extra set of MF10's that most likely will find their way onto the car.
Also on the car is my old Mugen 3 piece wing:
Here's my shorty antenna (which is for sale); when the car goes into the body shop, I'll probably have the antenna shaved:
Here's a sexy shot of the ass of the car...and yes, I'm an assman:

Only thing left to do is to mount the bronze MF10s
Bolt up the modded AP2 headlights

Re-do the interior carpet and bolt in the modded OEM seats
(no pics of carpet and modded OEM seats as of yet)
Mount up the light-up windscreen
