Krazykorean’s Build - MY01 NFR
This build thread is going to have a very accelerated update list I’ve owned 4 s2000’s and I never thought about doing a thread like this but I feel like it’s time. Since I took pics already during each mod/change I can still date when I did it.
So you will probably see about 2 years of updates in a few weeks haha. So enjoy!
It’s been about 15 years since I last owned an S2000 and had no idea of the changes since then. Couldn’t believe how much these went up in value and then finding parts was another battle but I do enjoy the hunt to find parts so I was up for the challenge.
I wasn’t wanting NFR but once I had and it owned it for about a month I don’t think I would want another color. My previous colors I had was Spa, Suzuka and Silverstone.
I checked out the car August 10th of 2021 and I struck a deal with the seller and bought it the next day.
He owned 2 NFRs and was selling his stock lower mileage 58k mileage one to buy a house. Worked out for me.

3 days later I really wanted a phone mount so I decided to get a Modifry and some cheap Amazon holder.
I also did this renegade, or whatever brand knob but it was huge and I hated it. Sold it the next day and went back to stock.
The next day I put the car on jack stands to remove the wheels and clean the undercarriage and wheel wells.

I wasted no time and did a fluid change on pretty much everything. And bought some Tein Coilovers
tl hood me over till my Ohlins came in, since that time they were on back order for like 6-7 months.
Did the tranny, oil, rear diff, brakes, clutch etc.
also whatever was on the wheel wells would not come off unless I scrubbed it. Eventually I just bought new ones. Hence why these looked so greasy still after I tried to clean them.

I owned a MY04 and really loved the center console. So that was the next thing on my list. This is when I first learned how expensive OEM parts were getting. It was in great physical condition but was grimy and sticky. So I basically tore the whole thing apart. I paid it with a brand new Ap2 radio door and used leather console.
While it was all apart I decided to do the shifter rebuild kit. Might as well.

My clutch pedal was still sticking on the floor, previous owner replaced the clutch master cylinder so it had to be the slave. I got a OEM one and decided to order a new boot, so glad I did it was toast.
only pic I had from this.

Keep in mind my car was on jack stands since August 29th since I struck a deal for some OG flat faced TEs, I shipped him my wheels and he shipped me the TEs. So I installed them and dialed in the suspension. At this time I didn’t want to roll my fenders or do any work. Hence why I was looking for these specific wheels.
Also during this time I was waiting I decided to get a HKS Hi-Power Dual. Since I loved the sound of this exhaust from back in the day. But soon realized my tastes have changed lol.

My new house got built, I moved in and I finally have a GARAGE! I also did Swiss trax the next day I moved in. As you can tell from the theme, I am super impatient and tend to do stuff right away.
Sucks I couldn’t get a 3 car garage so I could park my truck inside but oh well. I was just happy to have one finally.

So I was bored from these TEs and I knew I wanted something more aggressive and eventually run a BBK. So me not wanting to do any fender mods went right out the window
Put the car on jackstands again and posted the wheels for sale and they sold the same day. Luckily ICB had a spec of REGAS I wanted coming in a week. So just left the car on stands till then.
