Thanks!

Anyone feel free to offer opinions or help me settle an internal debate. Greddy Go Tuning SE v2 or HKS super sound master for an exhaust? Hmmmmm

Well I can help you with one side. I have the Greddy SE v1, haven't heard the v2 in person yet, but aside from drone on the v1, I love my exhaust. It is has a very deep tone to it and I receive compliments about my exhaust all the time, this includes people that aren't into imports (I live in an area that is mainly classics and american cars). Imo the exhaust also looks great, wether you get burnt or polished tips, they have one of my favorite tips. As far as gains, they claim decent gains. I have never done a back to back dyno against stock, but with a 70mm test pipe and NO tune, my 06 put down 217 whp.

I have only heard video clips of the HKS SSM, and as far as I can tell it seems tame, possibly minimal drone. From one owner's video it sounded fantastic, but I have watched other videos and it sounded raspy, so wasn't sure what to think of it until I have heard it in person.

Never heard the HKS in person but had the Greddy GoTunning V2 on my first S. Loved it no drone at cruising speed, and when you get on it it sounds great! Though the HKS sounds really nice in videos but I've never heard in person. I plan on buying another Greddy for my new S. Good luck with your decision!

I prefer the Greddy on sound alone, but it's also nice because you'll see a slight power bump, and experience little to no drone. It's a fantastically well made exhaust, is definitely one of the best all-around pipes for the car. The HKS seems overpriced for what you get at the end of the day, although it does sound nice and looks really neat.

Yeah the price on the HKS SSM is what's turning me off, especially since the Greddy/GoTuning one is at such a good price point. Are most people getting 70mm HFC's to go with the Greddy since it's 70mm also?

Not sure. I know adrs2k runs a HFC with his. I would shoot him a PM, he'll probably be able to be of assistance.

I have a 70mm Berk test pipe with mine, I've been fine with it and there is some of that test pipe smell at stop lights (windows/top down)
