Been awhile since I had an update. Got myself a couple new tires for the rear, the Bridgestone RE-11A's. My front tires were still the Dunlop Direzza ZII's, which still have plenty of tread left. I'm not sure if the different brands on the same car caused any huge difference compared to having all four tires being the same. It performed well enough on the track
Added a Berk Test Pipe for use on the Thunderhill SpeedSF event last Saturday. This, when added on with the UK mod exhaust bypass and the FIPK intake, really adds to VTEC at full throttle. Very happy with the results.
Thanks to Bill Wang for the last two photos. Epic shots!

My best lap, with a couple of mishaps on Turn 2 and an unintentional mis-shift.

Time for another update. Picked up a Forbidden USA OEM replica hardtop. Driving all the way to LA from SF in order to have it installed. Paint, window, and hardware was all ready to go. I have to say it was a true impulse buy. I didn't intend to have a hardtop until a couple more years had passed, as I liked having the ease of a soft top, but with the Black Friday sale that Forbidden USA was having, I gave it a shot. It took two months from the time I ordered it in early December til the time it was complete, but I didn't have time to pick it up until the middle of February.
I chose my options. I wanted it to be painted GPW, have them do the install, and it had to OEM-style. I've seen plenty of Mugen tops around, it's just not my preference. Getting the OEM style was the closest it'll be to emulating the CR, but I had a twist. I didn't want the top in black like all CRs have. I wanted it in white to match the car. Why? I felt that that would make more of an impact, and give the car that finished look I've been waiting for.
I also wanted to have my windshield frame match the top as well, so out came an exacto knife and some white vinyl from Amazon. Here's a pic of it being installed:
And right before the night drive to LA:
Made the trip to LA, got it installed. The guys at Forbidden USA were pretty cool. Explained all the details about how they build the tops, and showed off a few of their cars. Their shop had a tremendous amount of tops ready to be shipped. Putting that new top on the car for the first time really transformed the look, even moreso than I had imagined. On the way back home to SF, it started to creak over bumps and rough roads. They used some sort of jelly to lube the rubber seals. I rectified this once I got home by removing the jelly and used Honda Shin-etsu Grease. That fixed the problem entirely for me.
So here it is now, with plenty of pictures to show off the top. There is supposed to be some molding around the rear window like it had on the authentic OEM Hardtops. I will have to do some research to make my own molding out of generic rubber seals. But overall, I really like the look and feel of the top. No wind noise at all coming from the front of the top, and only a slight gap on the drivers side window near the seat buckle that makes sound at around 75 mph.
Next mods....I don't really know. Perhaps its time to change out the CR wheels and move on to some CE28s. And KW V3 suspension to boot!
