Default Fernando's S2000 // Build Thread

I used to have a build thread for my old car on Honda-Tech when I bought a $300 Integra shell as a 16 year old and basically rebuilt the car from the ground up, including building a motor, repainting the whole car and redoing everything suspension related. I didn't really want to make a build thread for my S2000 because I felt like it would be boring since no major "building" would be happening, but it's the internet and I'm bored.

Said thread: http://honda-tech.com/appearance-bui...build-2701586/

Lets start with my old car, a 1995 Integra, a little before and after.

And so we begin with my S2000, this was the first day I owned it in 2011 as an 18 year old with a shit-eating grin my face.

Since I didn't have to spend so much money on a motor/body/paint, I could go straight to slowly adding parts to my car to make it my own.

I started by getting a set of Tein springs, an AP1 front lip and a AP1 trunk spoiler.

This brings us to somewhere in 2012 when I wanted to get a set of wheels. Naturally I settled for some used Volks with brand new Star Specs in the standard sizing. I was never a fan of replica wheels and I knew finding wheels that would fit properly without having to roll my fenders would be difficult.

Then came the itch for a hardtop, found one for a good price except it was yellow and wrapped in carbon fiber. Funny how I paid less because it was wrapped in CF, not more. But that's a different issue, LOL.

I grabbed a used HKS dual during winter storage in 2012/2013 and tossed that on. Thank God for heated garages. Yes, I'm aware the way I had the car raised is unsafe.

In the spring I had the hardtop painted to match my car, and this is pretty much how my car looks for the whole of 2013. I basically just spent my time enjoying the car and going through sets of tires.

Until the end of 2013 when the ricer in me came out, and I did this.

I then wanted to repaint my wheels, so I had them sent out to be powedercoated and this was the result.

Which brings us to 2014 and the current state that the car is in, constantly dabbling with having the hardtop on or off the car.

And that's a wrap, folks! Lets see where this thread takes us.

Nice! About the hard top, as it's a summer car, sell it and use the funds for a super charger

Keep the hardtop, put in in storage when not in use.

Nah, don't need a supercharger. Would rather put the 3k towards a house.

Simple is best with these cars. Buy a few well though quality mods and then just drive it.
