ah, not for a while unfortunately. Just got back from Europe last month, going to take 2015 to replenish the bank account, then go to Japan for Tokyo Auto Salon Jan 2016 THEN Hawaii will be top of our list again. We WILL be back! lol We were talking about making it an annual vacation spot eventually.
Thanks Chad! they are pretty comfy so far!

thx guys, i guess since i don't have anything new to post (waiting for CE28's to come in next year), i will post some photos i've never shown before. It is throwback thursday after all
Here are some comparison pics between the ASM bumper and the Mugen bumper. I was a bit disappointed with the mold of the Mugen bumper when i got it. You can see the comparison pictures below....the ASM bumper has pretty much all the OEM attachment points and designs, just in fiberglass. The Mugen bumper, by comparison is quite bare. You can see why they are similar in pricing, although the Mugen bumper is autoclaved carbon vs the FRP of the ASM. It's something i always wondered about, but it's clear that the ASM bumper is just a work of art and it's obvious that a lot of time and effort went into the design and fitment. FWIW, the ASM bumper fit 10/10 and Mugen bumper fits 9/10.

Mugen:
Also, I had some issues with the rear bumper corners at the wheel arches. The corners curved inwards, which would have been an issue since i have slightly aggressive wheels. I'm not sure whether it was because my rear fenders got pulled slightly when they were rolled, or if the mugen bumper just inherently has this issue, but either way, i needed to do something about it. I was leaning towards the Mugen bumper being the issue since my ASM rear bumper fit perfectly and didn't curve in at all! Anyway, the mugen bumper was like this on both sides. Below is the driver side:
The main problem is that i needed to shave the bumper down to fit my wheels. BUT the bumper curved in SO MUCH that if i shaved down the bumper as much as i needed, then i would have shaved that corner off completely and the bumper would be too short. Although it was psychologically challenging to modify my bumper this much (and by myself), i took the challenge and decided to add layers of fiberglass mat and cloth to the outside face so i could start shaving the inside of the corner, effectively moving the bumper corner outwards. That goopy green/blue stuff is fiberglass infused filler/bondo to add some durability to the modification.
Sanded it all down and finished it with some fine body filler and It all worked out in the end:
