nope not hard at all. While i did end up cracking one of my OE mirrors, it was because i forgot about the glue holding the mirror on and didn't soak the mirror long enough in hot water. i tried prying out the mirror and cracked it. If you get the glue hot enough, you can release the mirror quite easily....live and learn!

i actually have a DIY somewhere in my build thread i did. that was the method i used on the first few i did for people. i found it easier afterwards to just use a heat gun and heat up the back of the mirror real good and it worked the same.
