If there were any truly skilled drivers here, they would have been scouted by a top level F1 team already. Last time I checked that has not happened.
To do well a driver needs to be honed over the pond.
Last thing a new team needs is another Michael Andretti to showcase his back marker skills.
Danica needs to go birth some babies and let a real driver take that seat. Google her driving record. She must be goo gobbling Michael to keep her drive.

After his performance at Daytona driving a Prototype today I highly doubt it.

So what's all the mess over new teams being forced, or attempting to force them to buy and run a Cosworth engine?
Is Cosworth still a Ford product or has that alliamce long since died?

^ It has to do with the FIA pushing them towards Cosworth engines rather than Mercedes, Renault, Ferrari or Toyota.
Where as the teams that were NOT chosen may have chosen engines from the current manufacturers. Since all of the chosen teams had deals signed with Cosworth rather than a mix, it makes you raise an eyebrow considering that some "better funded" teams (Prodrive) were not selected over some no-name teams (Manor, Campos).
Another case of the FIA meddling where they should not be...
I also understand that FOTA have asked for the selection process to be examined and maybe even re-done...

Afterall, I suspect the FOTA teams would not supply engines to F1 if they were only competing in their break away series.
