They've had that petition for almost 3 years now, haha. I was one of the first to sign it, and even though it won't do a thing, I'll sign it again for the....15th time Just because I hate Mad Max.

What's with all the hate?
I look at it this way. The Grands Prix has to be *the* most difficult sport on the face of the earth to promote and run successfully. And its been a HUGE success by any measure with Max and Bernie at the helm .
Yes, there are changes being made that you may not agree with (I disagree with some of the rule changes) but these changes aren't being made with our personal preferences as the sole criteria.
It seems that a lot of the hate stems from the gazillions that these guys are making. That's too bad. Why not celebrate their success and LEARN from it.
Frankly, I get excited about race day more than any other day of the year. Thanks Bernie and Max.

I for one, don't hate Max and Bernie for the "gazillions" they make. Frankly, I couldn't care less. Running a sport is bound to bring in loads of money for the people in charge. If I were in their position, I'd want to maximize my personal profit too.
I take issue with how they've been inconsistent with rules/rule changes; getting involved with team politics and strong-arming their way above and beyond what their positions have dictated they have power to do.
If F1 isn't making rule changes based even partially on what we, the fans want, why even bother giving the FIA Formula 1 survey the past two years? They care to some degree, but clearly not enough to do anything about it other than a poll.
F1 today is already pretty dull compared to past decades. And to think of the rules that Max has proposed for the near future makes me question whether it's really going to continue to be considered the pinnacle of motorsport.
As for F1 being a huge success, you could argue both ways. It's hardly a blip on the radar of North Americans obsessed with NASCAR and despite comments by Bernie to the contrary, you know they want a huge share of this market. And only recently did they come up with the idea of marketing official F1 merchandise. Wow, most average Formula 1 fans really want a hat covered in Swarovski crystals for hundreds of dollars. As with their rule making, even the rather simple act of marketing Formula 1 merchandise ends up alienating the fans. How about Bernie's suggestion that future Silverstone races be attended by only the elite and wealthy?
If anything, I've learned from them how not to mess with a good thing.
