Default Now who Replaces Alonso at McLaren ?

It appears evident that Alonso will leave Mclaren, but not much has been decided on his replacement as media reports continue to filter surrounding his Ferrari arrival.

I speculated that Ron would try to build the team around Lewis Hamilton, so they would be looking for a Fisichella-like , trulli-like, massa-like, webber-like, driver ?

A decent second rate driver who's content to play second fiddle.

or maybe Nelson Piquet Jr ?

I'll bet Piquet JR Is NO 2nd fiddle.
He or Nico in equal car will beat over rated Louise.
I think it would be wrong to put a young guy in as #2. It should be a person near end of career.
So no Piquet, Rosberg, or Sutil, as all 3 would be faster than Louise, and cause nothing but problems for old Ron.

It'd be interesting to see Jenson in a better car. I think he would do pretty well at McLaren. But I do think he's too nice a guy to go racing with them.

How could someone be overrated if they are number 1 in the standings over a 2 time world champion? I fail to see the logic in that?

I would bet that BMW make a deal to trade Kubica to McLaren for Alonso. Alonso will not make a "Villeneuve" move and go to a back marker team. He has to at least have a glimmer of hope otherwise it won't happen. As I told you earlier, a high ranking member of the Honda team told me they would like to cut a deal to get Alonso. He even mentioned some of their strategy. So, Jenson may not be a stretch to go to McLaren.
