Toyota had the GT-One in the 24hrs of Lemans. I think it got 2nd in it class in '99 or something?

It was these cars by Gurney's AAR outfit that ended Nissan's run in IMSA GTP and arguably ended the class. Juan Manual Fangio II and PJ Jones won just about every race in the last season or two.

Of course in the US, Toyota was most successful in CART and IRL before pulling out when they started to lose (IRL).

Why do they stay in F1? BECAU$E THEY CAN. I think that's where the logic ends, though.
