Orange...
For a second there I thought maybe they had picked up the old F1 sponsor, Orange.
Team McLaren Mercedes is returning to the track this Wednesday, 11th January, at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain, for the first test of 2006. The team will test with a new orange livery, originating from the days of Bruce McLaren. Since sponsor West left the team there seems to be no reason to keep the grey livery any more.

Although that MAYBE true, the fact of the matter is, they no longer have West as a sponsor, and if the new sponsor wants a different color they will get it. Honestly, I would be really surprised if they don't make a big visual change to there team for 2006!

Sorry guys ... I love the color. But then, it takes me back in time when many (but certainly not all) McLaren's were just this color. Of course we are going back to the 60's and 70's here. From the earth quaking ear shattering Can Am cars to Indy and F1 ... they have all been this color at some time.
But then again, if I were king of the world we would return to the days of national colors!
