Lotus F1
A couple changes that were in the works:
Engine:

Team Name:

Anyone out there with some knowledge about Proton? Why are they not involved in the Lotus F1 effort?

here you go:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proton_(carmaker)
imo, proton doesnt have the engineering capacity to add value in F1. thus, they are acting as an owner of the F1 team. same thing with lotus, its owned by proton but proton did not improve lotus cars. its the other way around.

Thanks for the link suzukablueS2000
The plot thickens: http://www.pitpass.com/fes_php/pitpass_new...es_art_id=42155
Never knew there was such a mix in "ownership" of the name / brand / etc.

Is this the real "Lotus-es"?
http://www.formula1.com/news/headlin.../12/11592.html
So, Lotus is a title sponsor and a manufacturer; Renault is a chassis builder, sponsor and an engine supplier... and they'll all go racing against each other...
Go Team Genii Capital & Team Fernandes!

what a dabacle. i cant believe baher is playing into this, i dont believe that lotus really has the money to fund all their new car development and sponsor a F1 team. its just a game of poker and fernandes is calling the bluff.
bernie may not be able to say directly who can sponsor who, but i think he would have a say on having 2 nearly identical, non affiliated (so not like RBR and STR) teams with the same livery. i personally dont think its good for the sport at least.
