Meeting called at Merc this morning. Seems Sky is reporting it's a done deal, Lewis to the Scuderia in 2025.

Wow.

 

I think he’ll do well there. Granted with time this could be a genius move or otherwise

 

Yeah, could be like his surprise switch to McLaren way back when.

Still seems weird to announce it before the 2024 season. Will be interesting to see what happens this year, if MB have sour grapes or if they're fine with it.

I'm fine with the move, doesn't bother me in the slightest. He wanted to drive for Ferrari and he's getting that dream fulfilled, zero issue with that.

 

All I can think about are the boneheaded pitlane decisions that Ferrari have made in the last season or 2. Lewis is not very good at keeping his feelings/thoughts to himself. It will be interesting to see if Scuderia can improve their race management or if Lewis can learn to mince his words. I thought he threw away his career when he left McLaren for Merc but that couldn't have been further from the truth. I hope he saw something in the tea leaves about Ferrari. It will be entertaining, if nothing else, to see Leclerc and Ham fighting it out...I wonder if they'll consider team orders out of the gate or if they'll let them fight it out.

 

 

Wonder who is out at Ferrari - Sainz probably? Hopefully Ferrari does better for Hamilton than they did for Vettel.

As cool as it was to watch Max and RB set a whole bunch of series records, there's less excitement without the close competition. Hoping to see so competitive racing in 2025 (and 2024 too).
