I think this is a good thing for F1, Ron Dennis is taking a bit of a gamble, but paddock reports say Hamilton has been destined for F1 for many years. He will pick up a lot off Alonso and if they have some success with the car, he might even score some good points.

^^^^ he is only half, i think his dad is a black dude from carribean (British colony) and mom is British.

Might be a gamble, but just as NR was one, I think LH will pan out.

McLaren just got scarier also as the Great Mika Hakkinen was just signed to have a MS at Ferrari like role at McLaren.

There was recent talk the MH was going to come back and race F1 for mclaren, but it turned out it was for a technical position.

Hamilton's father is from Trinidad to be exact.

I think he has earned the opportunity to drive the second Mclaren with his achievements in the GP2 championship. He was consistent in testing the Mclaren as well. I wish him the best of luck.

Lewis Hamilton will be a revelation next year. He's got some fantastic overtaking abilities and is very driven. I hope the best for him even though he'll be driving for Mclaren and teaming with the unibrow.
