Nope. For a series that bills itself as the absolute pinnacle of motorsports, it's ridiculous that there are no races offered in HD or atleast 16x9.

Come on... NASCAR of all series offers HD. What the hell is F1 waiting for?

My guess is it's because most of Europe has been very slow in adopting any HD format as of yet.

Are there any races on CBS or ABC this year? Maybe those would be in HD?

That is true because in UK, 'HD ready' TV have only just taken off the market. Only SKY will be broadcasting HD signal later this year and they don't show F1.
However my point is that everything is shown in widescreen nowadays. Winter Olympics, football etc....
I just can't believe we'll be stuck to 4:9 on F1 races
