Ok, chances of Ferrari making it a three way fight next season just went way down. Binotto to leave.

I for one will miss him. I thought he did a great job building the team up to where they are and provided the team with support from fear. Too bad good leaders like him have to leave.

So the rumors were true. Shame. Binotto seemed like a decent guy.

I had been in the Ferrari camp for years. . . but this year's strategy gaffes were not only outrageous, but were a key contributor to the team not being competitive for the top spot. I suspect Binotto did some political math, and realized it was a good time to go.

Had Binotto stayed, every action would be scrutinized and double-checked by Elkan & Vigna. To that end, if either one of them (Elkan or Vigna) had lost any faith, it'd be twice the effort by Binotto, with still too much to chance (because F1).

Binotto can get out now, and go work anywhere in their sports car division as an Engineering VP, and produce the next great anything (Pininfarina Battista follow-on?).

Perez will feel the heat with Ricciardo hanging around the garage ready to hop in the car

Jost Capito leaving Williams. I wonder if he’s leaving as he sees no path for them to move up.

Dunno. Seems he was wanting to retire but Dorilton got him to take the role when they bought Williams. Could just be retiring, or he’s setting himself up for Audi. Time will tell.
