Bob - yes it was Damon who turned down a drive with Mclaren - just as Mclaren were becoming competitive and then went to win championships with Mika.
Damon went to arrows - then Jordan (where at least I saw him win at Spa in front of loads of Germans )
then retirement home.
the prize for the person with the biggest mouth has to go to Irvine. Montoya is not in his league.

It's my sense that if Eddie & Co. and BAR don't start to get better results Honda will pull the plug on their support. In any case I expect a major change in the way Honda contests F1. If not this year, certainly by next.

Kobe-I wholly agree. If you saw the "Dollars per Point" article in F1 Racing Eddie was far and away the least productive for the dollar. Know who produced the best points per dollar ratio??
Chipster-Honda has a major problem....two non-productive teams. I have heard rumors they are considering developing an engine for IRL. Tony George visited Honda-owned Motegi for the CART race, and it was not just to enjoy some sushi. Could this be a part of a cut-down (abandonment?) of F1 for Honda??

bob - I didn't see the article.,
trying to work it out, MS must get about $100,000 per point - give or take. There must be a rookie on a small contract who chipped in with half a dozen points?
come on, tell us.

The most productive driver last year was Kimi Raikkonen. He was only paid like $750,000 and I don't remember his points total but his salary was so low that the dollars per point were by far the lowest on the list.
Irv the Swerve gets like $10 mil or something and got what....8 or 10 points so each one cost a mil or so.
