How many weeks a year are they away? I have people in my company that have been home maybe 4 weeks a year, most employees travel at least 26 weeks a year and I've done an 8 motnh stetch with a few 16 hour stops at home between flights. If they don't like it get another job.

It's not just the travel; even when they're "home" at the factory, they're working 100-hr weeks.

I'm an engineer, I love F1, and I think it would be really exciting to work for a team. But I wouldn't do it for $100K, $200K, or $300K. At $500K I'd consider it -- for a year or two. At $1M they can have me all they want (I'll fly the family around the world with me!). But you can't pay every engineer $1M.

If F1 really wants to cut costs, a good way is to cut the number of events.

Slave Labor for Engineers. That would save costs.
