Champ Car Cleveland
Looks like about a 6 1/2 hour drive to cleveland from NJ. Has anyone ever been to this race? I only go to one race a year, the USGP, and we all know how that turned out.
I'm tempted to do this. My gf is going away for a bachelorette weekend, so I'll be eating take out either way.
If I remember right this is the race at the airport, right?
Hmm, I did buy a 2005 USGP flag. I can think of some creative modifications for it.

Yeah Tom, it's the Airport race. Check to see if there are any supporting events - I believe World Challenge has run as a supporting series on occasion.
The Cleveland fans really support this race. Wide open and lots of passing (don't miss the start). Sebass is a good talent and you get to see Justin Wilson (ex F1) as well as whiney Christiana da Matta.
I'm on the CHAMP car side of the split, and would love to go see a race. Sadly only IRL is really at a track near me (WGI). I don't watch that rot (which is sad as their are a few drivers there that I really like), but might not be able to resist at least peaking on TV.
CHAMP car is a lot friendlier than F1, so you should have greater access to drivers.
//Edit - the SWC is running this weekend at Cleveland. Fun series (if a bit 'manipulated').

Hey vroom, lighten up getting any open wheel at WGI is huge news so don't be putting IRL down.
Tom, go and tell us how it was... I know I can't go, I have plans to drive around in circles between Watkins Glen and Ithaca as I have to finalize my September Tour Route for 100 vintage roadsters, all part of the vintage race weekend at the track; I'm the chairperson for this year's tour.

Okay, so who went to the Champ Car race? How was it? Give us the good and bad. How bout that World Challange GT race, watched it on Speed Ch, pretty cool.
