Andretti in a Ferrari?
Andretti wants surname back in F1
May 31, 2006, 11:31
May 31 (GMM) 1978 world champion Mario Andretti would like his famous surname to return to the F1 time sheets.
His 19-year-old grandson, Marco - whose father Michael raced alongside Ayrton Senna at McLaren in 1993 - finished second in last Sunday's infamous Indy 500 by a margin of less than one tenth of a second.
Winner of twelve grands prix, Mario Andretti, told Italy's La Gazzetta dello Sport: ''I would like (Marco) to come to F1 with Ferrari.''
Kind of early but.....
Rossi/Andretti lineup?
KR/Andretti lineup?

I just want to see the best racers in F1 and it happens to be Marco Andretti, great. Just don't want him in because of his name like Rossi, who hasn't done a thing in open wheel racing....
I'd like to see MS and KR at Ferrari, assuming KR doesn't go to Honda like my dream...

as long as Marco Andretti doesnt turn out to be a punk like his father Michael, and cry like a lil girl and need to fly home and NEVER test, and just fly in for races.
Ohio Marco, have you ever seen that short film that was made for IMAX, the one that features Mario and the rebuilding of the 1st racecar he ever drove? (I forgot the title) I just love that flick! To me Mario is a man worthy of respect, while his son is just the opposite.

People forget, besides being F1 WC, he also won 24 hr Le mans, Indy 500, and Daytona 500!!! he was the man in all types of racing.
As far as Mikey goes, besides being a punk in F1 in 93, that stupid s2000 commercial with him saying left here, left here, then the kid says, can we turn right?? and Mikey says... why would you want to do that???... made me want to vomit..but I guess Mikey doesnt know how to turn right... that one big off he had in the Mclaren was a right!!!... go figure

Ferrari have never been like Williams in that , they risk a rookie in their car
Ferrari to me, appear to be a team that does not take chances with their drivers. I don't see it happening until he can fair well with a backmarker first.
I'd like to see his transition more of becoming a test driver, with either STR or RBR to bring up the ranks. Then eventually replace one of those drivers, then move to Ferarri. But by then, the team will be completely different as the Todt, Brawn, Byrne era will be over
